Photography and CGI. The shot, whether it exists yet or not.
Neon Frame Creative is a UK creative media studio that treats photography and CGI as one discipline, because on most jobs the question is not whether to shoot or render, it is which parts of the subject exist yet.
A building at planning stage has to be rendered. The same building at handover should be photographed. A product exists; the packaging variant does not. Keeping both under one discipline means one brief, one look and one person answerable for whether the render and the photograph match when they end up on facing pages.
One properly planned day produces two to three hundred usable frames across a dozen scenarios, and the marginal cost of the last frame is close to nothing. Four campaign shoots produce four sets of pictures that each fit one campaign. The library is the cheaper unit, and it is what lets a social team post weekly without asking for budget.
Visualisation has to be persuasive and accurate, in that order of difficulty. We model the specification that is actually being built, light it as the room will actually be lit, and resist the temptation to add a sunset that the elevation never gets. The developer is the one who wears the gap.

One of six disciplines. See all of them · most briefs need more than one, and planning them together is what stops anything being made twice.
